Wendell Station – /wen-dl/stay-shn/
noun
1. The restaurant at Carriage Court Senior Living.
2. Inspired by the Hilliard origin story. It all began in 1852 when John Reed Hilliard bought 10 acres of farmland in western Franklin County, Ohio, from Hoseah High and Abraham Wendell. That very plot of land went on to house the town of Hilliard, originally known as Hilliard’s Station. Since the name Wendell saw a drop in popularity after Wendell Wilkie ran for president in 1940 and lost, we thought it was time for a revival. And thus, Wendell Station was born. Let’s eat!
